After finishing my last pill on Saturday instead of waiting a week to take new ones from a brand new pill pack I took one of the pills from the new pill pack without thinking. What should I do??? Should I keep taking the pills normally?? Or take those brown pills that don't have anything in them?? IDK HELP!! This is how I usually take pills. I have 7 white pills that I have to take for 3 weeks then I have brown pills with nothing in them that I take for a week. And then after those 7 brown pills are gone I start a new pack starting with the first white pill from the new pack and what I basically did without thinking accidently is after taking the last white pill saturday I took the first white pill from the new pack on Sunday (today) which should have been the first brown pill??? Is there a 24 hour hotline for this kind of thing?? anyone did this before what should i do??

Continue with the active pills. All this will do is make you spot or completely skip your period.

Continue on taking your next pack of pills. You will skip your period for the month, but may have spotting, get cramps, etc. It's considered safe to skip a period like this (on occasion). There are better pills to use if you want to not have your period every month, so try not to make a habit of it. You're protected from pregnancy as long as you took the first pill of your next pack today and continue with the second one at the same time tomorrow. As a side note... be careful when taking antibiotics and some other meds (ask your doctor) with the pill, it decreases its effectiveness.

The answers above are really good but if you really want to talk to somebody call 1-800-230-PLAN. It will connect you to the nearest Planned Parenthood who should be able to answer all of your questions.
