What are over the counter pills you can take for...

...chronic back pain due to knotted muscles? I read fish oil and tumeric are good. I was considering trying them. But I was wondering if anyone has taken anything else that helps with knotted back muscles.

I agree partly with the person who said schedule a massage.I have chronic back pain and fibro and a relaxation massage really helps.You could also try Robaxacet in the meantime or a generic form for back and muscle pain.The other thing you may want to try is acupuncture which can really help if you find a good and experienced practitioner.
