Hi Sam! My protein levels were a bit high due to my diabetes. And just over a yr ago my Dr told me I have Chronic Kidney Failure. My kidney function fluctuates up and down. Its at 20%. My Dr tells me to prepare myself for dialysis yet right now I'm just watching what I eat and taking my meds as prescribed. High protein, bun and creatinine levels, potassium, sodium and phosperous that are high can lead to kidney failure. Theres a website that u may want to check out. Davita.com And also if u search Google just type in Kidney failure and u will find many resources. I hope this helps. God Bless u and yr bf!It can give you more info and I hope it helps.
