how do you cope with it, and how do you know when you have it, side effects, etc?

Exercise, do different things that you usually don't do. When you dwell on the stress, do the opposite.Side effects are many. Check out webmd.com and look up under stress.good luck to you

There are a lot of ways... you have to mix it up or coping becomes just another thing that stresses you out. I do a lot of different stuff...Hit the punching bag, scream my face off into a pillow, beat my wife with a rubber spoon, strangle hookers, dance till i can't dance no more, ram other cars on the road, yell at cops, pick fights with people I know I can beat down, give horrible responses to people that rely on Y! Answers for real info, smoke crack, run a mile, steal identities for fun and profit, kick a box of kittens (for about an hour, be sure to tape it up real good, when done, leave in canal) and finally, drink herbal tea.

You need some stress to be able to perform well. If there is no stress say after intercourse then there is nothing getting done .The lack of stress produces sleep. Of course too much stress is not useful either as the brain will blow a fuse.
