throat infection in babies?

can a baby get diarrhea and a fever from a throat infection? what causes this?

yes, my little guy just had Roseola. he had diarrhea and a sore throat along with high fevers. could also be scarlet fever (which I've read is strep throat in babies).

Yes. Their body is trying to make itself too hot for the germs causing the throat infection to live (the fever), and also trying to flush them out (the diarrhea). It's important to make sure the baby stays hydrated and, if they're old enough, use Infant Tylenol or Infant Motrin to help keep the fever down. If the baby is under 4 months old, they need to be seen by a doctor ASAP.
