please!? My throat is really sore, hurts whenever I swallow, been spraying with chloraseptic, gargling with bucalcep, and cleaning with listerine. I believe it is an allergic reaction because not 2 days ago I was cleaning a really dirty, dusty, old classroom. It really hurts. I think it is an infection cuz there are a bunch of lumps and a few white spots. I'm a teacher, and classes begin next wednesday! I need to be healthy by then! please help!

First of all if it is an "infection" nothing over the counter is going to work. An antibiotic is the only thing that will clear-up an infection and from your description of symptoms, it sounds to me as though you may have Strep Throat! Forget the listerine and gargle w/warm salt water several times daily. (the Listrine can actually add to the irritation you are already experiancing). You don't say if you are running a tempererature or have any other allergic symptoms ie; runny nose, itchy eyes, etc. My bet would be strep throat. See your Dr.

consulting a physician is always best.if you don't have any other serious health problems you can try this.althrocin 250 mg twice a day for three days.gargle with hot water mixed with lemon juice, brush your teeth with table salt(table salt is far better than tooth paste) atleast twice a day.
