Has anybody had VNS (Vagus Nerve Stimulation) operation for severe treatment-resistant depression? If so, do you have side-effects? Would you do it again?

I have been reading about VNS and think it's an amazing therapy option. I'm sure they wouldn't do it for depression. Most cases of depression are people who just have the blues and want a "pill solution" so psychologically, it's not their own fault. I have thought about VNS because my depression / anxiety comes from a brain injury, or not purely psychologically based. My medication helps me fine, though, and I have learned to cope, with the help of seizure medication.
