Does it infect you for a long time or only a few minutes? If the fluid dries out then you cant get infected. HIV doesnt last long without the body, so how long does it last in a needle? How long can it last without the body?Im not in any danger. sorry i didnt make that clear. Whats with all these crazy assumptions? Im curious about the facts. Im not doing anything to hurt myself.I know the basic facts about hiv. I mean what if the fluid is ALREADY DRIED in the needle then it could only affect you for a few minutes, right? And how long will it last outside the body??

OH DEAR. If you think you've come in physical contact with an HIV contaminated needle you need to get checked out immediately. HIV is commonly contracted from sharing dirty needles! HIV is also permanent, there is no cure currently.

The CDC estimates that HIV transmission occurs in about 1 in 100 needle sticks, based on evidence from hospitals.
