...onetime angina attack, would there be enzymes in my blood? Hi, I am a 32 f that experienced severe chest pain that radiated down through my leftarm and my left hand tingled like someone was putting needles in it. I had been drinking a drink for a couple of days because it was cheaper and it had extra caffiene and ginsing it. Anyways I was in the hospital overnight and all my tests came back normal I do not have heart disease. I was just wondering if the drink could have caused it. I do take an acid reflux medication but I don't feel it was acid reflux because I reacted to the nitro(3 of them) and was real tired afterwards, but that could have been because I quit drinking caffiene all together. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I was a heavy, heavy caffiene user, and had some similar reactions after many years. I have completely quit all stimulating drugs, and I can't believe the difference! I work 10-12 hours, 5 days per week, heavy physical labor, and I don't need a boost! I just stay hydrated, with enough blood sugar to make it through the day. At night I enjoy a few cocktails, and then wake up, and do it all over again. Age? 40. Caffiene sucks! I suffered for 3 days when I quit, but I haven't looked back(except to laugh at how stupid I was).

Be careful with these caffeine drinks as well as the caffeine raising your blood pressure so can ginseng....as far as the enzymes in your blood I can't answer that......
