It sounds like your roommate has some homosexual tendencies and he may be trying to slowly seduce you. If it makes you uncomfortable, you can either talk to the guy and tell him you’re not interested or talk to the RA about getting a new roommate.

I would not join him because that is just a little to weird. Try to come to an understanding with him that you don't feel comfortable being in the same room with him while he takes care of business and see if he can make arrangements to do it while you are not home or plan on being gone for a while.

Truth be told, this is very troubling. My friend's college dormmate also boldly left the door cracked while he pleasured himself to porn... on many occasions. Finally, at a time when they were both fully clothed, my friend politely told the roommate that he was uncomfortable with the situation and felt that he should at least do his "business" with the door locked and preferably while he was not in or around the room. His roommate was never caught again. Hope this helps.
