I have also found that brewing a tea with dried fennel seeds helps. To do this you will need two tea balls. Pack one ball with a loose, fruity tea and another with dried fennel seeds. Brew to the instrustions of the loose tea.

Tea balls can be found in most department stores (and some grocery stores). I get fennel seeds from my garden, but the can also be found in health food stores.

Raspberry leaf tea has worked great for me in easing menstrual cramps. Several friends of mine use Thermacare Menstrual patches and have said that they are great for getting rid of cramps.

I have experienced this severe menstrual cramps or dysmenorrhea before. But the pain seemed to lessen now that I have given birth.

The hot compress on my stomach part really helps a lot during the severe pain. I also take Ibuprofen or mefenamic to lessen the pain.

I have been also experincing this monthly and I never believed my husband that indeed applying heat in the abdominal area is efective.

Also I have one question, is it true that you need to drink softdrinks (like coca-cola or beer) to shorten the days of menstrual period?

Thank you for the helpful tips admin. =)

I agree with you abt the effectiveness of warm compress... another easy option is to fill a bottle with warm water, wrap it with towel.. you can also heat an iron, wrap it with towel... it works.. good luck.. :)
