19 yo guy with pacemaker and heart problems, girls,

would you date me? I've had heart problems since birth. I've had surgery to fix it and I also have a pacemaker (machine in my chest to help my heart beat). How do I get confidence for dating? My chest looks weird because of my problems. I'm thin too, not very buff.I've never dated. I'm nervous about a girl finding out about this and how she'd react. I didn't ask to be this way and I'm kinda depressed about it.Help?

you are still young and i think soon you will meet someone that won't be bother by that. Plus to a point you have an advantage you will know if the girl really cares about you if she is still with you. Your right you didn't ask for what has happened to you but everything happens for a reason and i believe that if you just stay strong that the right girl will come along.

Don't be depressed. Most girls, if they're like me, don't care what's on the outside, but what's on the inside. If you're sweet and caring, then we'll be attracted to you. I like shy guys, that take their risks and get the courage to talk to a girl or stare at her for a long time, with her knowing. I would most likely approach a guy who did these things. Just be yourself, and girls will see the inner you. Be honest with her also. Tell her of your problem and if she is 'just' concerned for your health and not how you look, then she's a keeper.

It's ok....i find it intresting to tell you the truth, I wouldn't look at you diffrently because you have a pacemaker. Even with it you are your own person. Some girls would think you brave going through operations and stuff. Don't worry. But about the confidence thing...just practice on a friend of your who is a girl maybe or practice in your mirror how you would talk to a girl....if you find the right girl and a good girl then it won't matter, she will love you anyways.

There are girls out there that would not be bothered by it. I personally would not. If she is a worthwhile girl, then she would accept you for YOU. And if she does not date you because of that, she is not anything special anyway.

please why are you letting this get in the way of finding someone there are worst illness out then that, it your attitude that counts and how you treat people that matter, if you treat women with respect they will love you for it. don't let the heart issue stop you from meeting girls they don't need to know right way about your heart-pacer get to know the person first then as things start to progress then when you feel it the right time you explain your situation, things like that don't bought er most girls. go on and get out there and date

aww are you kidding? i'm only 15 but everyoneee has problems, physically or personality wise. but i say if you were a sweet guy, you'll get a girlfriend eventually--haha i've never dated either =]
