My car's back 2 speakers are going in and out and making

a staticy noise. Speaker or amplifier problem? When I say going in and out, I don't mean they completely lose sound, I just mean they'll get louder and then they'll get softer. I have one amp going to the speakers and one going to the one 12" sub in the trunk. When it goes in and out, it also makes a static-like noise. Does this sound like my wires maybe aren't as tight-fitting as they should be (loose wire, etc.) or that my amp is going? Thanks.

probably the amp- if it were wires, there'd be crackling and sometimes no sound would come out.

I would say the first place i would check is to see if any of your wires are lose. Also if that is not the problem you might have a short some where in your system.

Sounds like loose wires. With the static sound, it's probably your grounding wire.
