...joint pain? My cat is 18 years old and is on daily antibiotics ( although I do give her a rest from them, for a week at a time) Her bones are deformed but now at times she has pain in her feet. She has an excellent appetite and drinks the correct amount of water for her weight. The Vet gave her pain meds but they made her a bit disoriented. I would like to improve her kidneys (I know there is not a cure) and joint discomfort. Any suggestions. She likes massage. Has anyone had experience with acupuncture with their cat?She is very affectionate and I don't think that she is ready. I have learned from my last old cat that I let him go too long and he suffered because I was not ready. In this case, my Vet said she could live maybe 2 more years. I keep a close watch on her. Love her so much and want to make these last years as comfortable as possible. She was a rescue cat and she was deformed when I got her at 6 1/2 years of age. Her feet are now getting more tender and one is misshapened. That is why I was wondering if acupuncture might help, and needed suggestions for natural kidney health.That is, to build the kidney's system to help them function more.
