...(freezing & storing a new embryo, while still cell-sized)? Fertility clinics do this with newly fertilized eggs. Later they re-implant with greater than 50% success.... Some moon craters that are always dark have cold enough temperatures to store cryo-preserved cells for a very long time! As moon transport becomes feasible, many cryo-preserved embryos could be put there, both human & animal. Several interesting reasons: a. "back-up" earth in case of major catastrophe, b. retrieval decades later when a parent is better off (health or finances), c. insuring an heir, d. acceptable abortion alternative, e. acceptable "disposal" of excess embryos from fertility clinics, f. bloodline or endangered species bank, g. clone storage (thinking ahead), h. possible launch of "back-ups" to seed the stars.... Most interesting to me as a Bible believing Christian is that Christ may return soon enough to retrieve all the frozen embryos that have been preserved -- instead of aborted. And any accidents in storage or transport are not murder, but "acts of God".

This is the most psycho thing I've heard this week. Storing frozen aborted fetuses so they will be saved in the coming apocalypse? That's a Weekly World News headline isn't it? I think the most disturbing thing is that some people would find this absurdity more satisfactory than stem cell research or abortion. I am amazed that humans have been able to get as far as we have with so many of us complete maniacs. The funny thing is, value to all things is directly proportunal to their rarity; gold, silver, the elements of beauty, kinds of food, and people. The more people in the world the less valuable each one is. The less of a person they are and the more of a statistic they are. So why, I wonder, could so many be so against another unwanted mouth to feed? Eventualy there will be no food, there will be no privacy, there will be no land, and we wouldn't recognise our own world because of over population. And there will be no sanctety of life any longer because so many misguided people sought to preserve them all.
