red veins in my eyes?

for the last few days ive noticed red veins in the whites of my eyes, could excessive crying and stress cause this? ive been using eye drops since saturday but they just irritate my eyes and make them sting. does anybody kno what else i can try?dont use contacts but i do wear glasses sometimes

well... you'd better see a doctor in any case.... unfortunately I don't know how you call this in English.... but it might be a sort of allergy that makes your capillaries get thicker and more reddish('cos I think we got this stuff in the eyes right??.... )suertekisses

It could be the solution you are using. Do you wear contacts? Cuz a lot of the times oxygen can't get into your eyes which cause the red lines. If so, see you eye doctor and they will probally get you new lenses.

Don't use OTC eye drops, go to your optician and get something prescribed if you really need it. Keep your eyes cool and shaded - a cucumber and sunglasses combo is quite pleasant.

you may just have bloodshot eyes but i would consult your doctor just in case, take care :)
