Football Acne Problems?

Football has now started and now we are wearing helmets everyday. Does anyone, especially former or current football players, have any tips on preventing or at least lessening acne around the chin area? My chinstrap is making me breakout like crazy. I have a chinshield (the cloth cover for the chinstrap) and it isnt really working. Is there something I could do or not do to make the acne better?

yea the same thing use to happen to me, if you are shaving, it could be your shaving cream, you should carry some face cream for it and at halftime if coach lets you, you should wash it very quickly. thats what i do.

I believe Schutt makes a synthetic soft foam chin strap that should help you. The problem with cloth chin straps is that they absorb sweat and dirt. The synthetic soft foam chin straps are easily wiped clean and are open so air can get to your skin keeping it drier. Hope this helps.
