View Full Version : Chest Pain?

I'm 13 years old ( I think that rules out a heart attack) and I get these chest pains every once in a while. Sometimes I feel like I can't move and they feel really sharp like I'm getting stabbed and this may sound weird but it feels like my "chest can't breathe" if you know what I mean... I dunno if this has anything to do with it but I was born with asthma but I really don't have it severely (I don't use an inhaler nor do I take medications). Does anyone know what this could be possibly? PS- You can rule out reactions to medication because I'm not on any currently and I haven't been for a while now.

Do you have GERD? Could be acid reflux. Or even severe gas pains.

That sounds like asthma to me. Maybe you *should* get an inhaler and try using it whenever you get one of these attacks.

Could just be growing pains...I used to get pains all over when I was that age....Maybe go to the doctor, it could be something serious....

heart burn? buy some tums and see if that helps...take them when you have that pain...it could be something more so maybey to be safe go to your doctor it COULD have something to do with the heart. but the same exact thing happens to me and i have acid reflux... im 15
It would be too hard to guess from the information you have given. It could be anxiety, it could be a breathing problem or nothing at all, but you can't just keep it to yourself. The best thing to do is to tell your mom or dad and have them take you to a doctor. He would be able to check you over and figure out what it could be.

Young lady you should make an appointment with your doctor, and ask him/her this question. It may be related to the asthma, or could be something altogether different. BUT see your doctor, you will not get a diagnosis on Yahoo answers, just a lot of opinions. Please see your doctor.
