Make sure you are cleaning it thoroughly. This happened to me when I got my cartilage pierced. I would say mine hurt for almost a year. However, if it is infected, you will definitely have to remove it and even have to take some medication. Call your doctor to have it checked out.

First of all, why does this guy keep posting a recipe for pancakes??Just an FYI for you- a cartilage piercing take a lot longer to heal than a regular piercing through tissue it will hurt for a while. Try not to sleep on the side of the piercing and just keep cleaning it regularly and it will be fine in a couple of months.

Your going to have to bare through the pain. I had both of mine done and they each hurt for at least a year. But once the pain is gone it will be worth it, besides theres worse pain then cartilage piercings.

it takes a while to heal i ended up taking mine out and it took it was about 2 years after i took it out that it healed. If i were you I'd keep cleaning it and if it keeps hurting I'd take it out but stick with it for a longer time most people that i know that have gotten that pierced took over a year to heal

i had mine done last october and mine still hasnt fully healed either but ive been told it takes a good year for it to fully heal...i suggest trying to put the starter back in and dont take it out unless you absolutely have to.

You can buy a product called H2Ocean at most tattoo and peircing shops or at Hot Topic this is what I bought when I got my nose pierced and it worked great. I also couldn't get mine to heal and it almost fell through. It is saline based and works way better than alcohol based products. It improves circulation and gets rid of dead skin cells. Check out the product website link below.
