My 3 month old has been "projectile" vomiting shortly after each feeding since she was 3 1/2 weeks old. I have switched to the Good Start comfort proteins, and her doc put her on Zantac. However, she is still spitting up quite a bit, and I can tell it is not comfortable for her (I am sure it is burning!), anyone out there with infant with same problem, any suggestions? She is gaining weight, in the 75%-ile, and height too, so she is eating enough, I just want her to be comfortable. To add to my question, she is fed in upright position and burped every couple of ounces, as well as postioned upright for atleast 30 mins after each feeding. Thanks!

Both of my girls had reflux among other problems(they were very preemie) Their nicknames were the Catapult for my oldest because of how far she would vomit, lol. And the Volcano for the way it would bubble out and run down like lava for my youngest. One thing the doctor had me do with both of them from as soon as they could have a bottle was to put like a tbsp of rice ceral in the formula to help weigh it down in the stomach. Also both of mine were on Reglan to help control the reflux. They are 6 and 4 now and my 6 year old still has reflux/Gerd and now has ulcers and has to take previcid. But my 4 year old has completely out grown the problem. Good luck to you. T
you could try burping her after every 1-2 oz. of formula. or place her in a bouncer or anywhwere in an upright position for 30 mins to an hour and give her a chance to digest the food. a lot of moving around can cause a baby to vomit as well.

My 3 month old is there too. She's on lactose free formula and Axid 2x/day. It sounds like you are doing what you know to do, I agree w/ the rice cereal in the bottle, and perhaps a different med. Different things work on different babies. I know it's hard to see you baby uncomfortable. Good luck.
