hi i m a TB patient. i ,m taking my TB drugs from last 4 months continue for next 2 more months. now the problem is i want to take some slimming pills but my husband said you can't take slimming pills becoz u r taking TB drugs. is it? what should i do?

better ask your doctor first before u start taking in more medicines. it might have a reaction to the medicines you are taking in right now.

Though chances are slim, there is a possibility of drug interaction. I suggest you concentrate on healthy diet and physical exercises regularly. After your course of ATT is over you may take slimming pills ( Maybe with diet & exercise you will not need them!)Good luck!

I would just continue to use your TB drugs for the remaining 2 months and then go onto the slimming pills. And to be honest, I wouldn't even use the slimming pills, you will get more healthy results from a decent diet, and proper exercise. But the last thing you want is for your slimming drugs to interact w. your TB drugs and render the drugs useless, causing you to have drug resistant TB, which is almost impossible to cure. Just stay away from the pills, 2 months isn't that long
