Some foods can cause a build up of gas/gas problems. You can eliminate this by either avoiding those foods, or by taking a gas medication (such as simethicone) to reduce the gas/relieve the stomach upset. I've purchased gas tablets at Wal Mart, Equate brand, that had the active ingredient simethicone, they were under $3 and in my opinion work better than Bean O. Two activated charcoal tablets after eating can also cut down on gas. As for foods that cause gas, foods that contain carbohydrates usually cause gas. Fats and proteins cause the least amount of gas. Sugars including raffinose, lactose, fructose, and sorbitol cause gas as well. Foods that cause gas:BeansCabbageBrussels SproutsBroccoliAsparagusWhole grainsMilkCheeseIce CreamBreadCereal Salad DressingOnionsArtichokesPearsWheatSoft DrinksFruit Drinks that contain fructoseApplesPeachesPrunesDiabetic and sugar free candies and gumsPotatoesCorn NoodlesOat BranPeasWheat BranSince it's unlikely you will want to avoid all of these foods, try the gas tablets. Also talk to your doctor, sometimes gas problems can be an early warning sign of a digestive problem or other serious problem.
