Throat Infection?

My sister has got me worried, she coughed up a little yellow green thing like a pea yesterday which smells funny, she says it comes from her throat and has happend often. Can anyone tell me what they are and is anything wrong with her

this used to happen to me and what it was is this...occasionally you cough up a ball of phlegm from your lungs. sometimes it is a one off but if the coughing continues it can be a sign of a chest infection. if you do develope a cough and you bring up this stuff again then pop along to your doctors and take along a sample of this phlegm and the doctor can send it to be tested to identify any infection and give you appropriate antibiotics. like i said it could just be a one off and might not happen again so dont worry yourself too much about it.
