hi, iv'e been in the dental profession about 15 years. i cannot stress it enough SEE A DENTIST. if you let this go on the problem could and will get worse. trying over the counter products can help depending on the size of the fracture. if the tooth has fractured to the point where it cannot be fixed it may need to be extracted. i know sounds awful especially if it's a front tooth. see a dentist, they can help. good luck

If you are in alot of pain listerine helps alot. Your tooth sounds infected. The listerine numbs the pain for at least 15 min. Use that and motrin. Get in to see a dentist. You will need dental work, however an antibiotic will knock the infection out.

anytime you break a tooth it is called a fracture and causes an infection so you will need to be on antibiotics and go to the dentist to fix it or it will keep breaking off untill theres no more tooth left. but for now untill u get to ur dentist. you can gargle with hot salt water take water and salt and mix it up and put it in ur mouth and swooch it around then spit it out.

Get to the dentist, I tried for 5 years to take care of my teeth on myown, and now I need 11 fillings, 8 extractions and an upper and lower partial. Get there now, you do not want this pain, and the serious infection that comes with it.
