it could be, although postpartum the womans body gets flooded with another dose of hormones which could cause this. has she started any new meds, diff birth control? that could be the problem too, or it could be bipolar. Whatever it is, she should def make an appt with her obgyn or family doc and get checked out. Don't let this go untreated.

It is a possibility or it could be related to the hormones from having the baby. Also it could be just the stress of having a new baby around as it can be very hard and what with lack of sleep.
This sounds like post natal depression. However it may not be the case. Having a young child is extremely difficult, especially if you are the primary caregiver & your partner is at work. A mother is expected to do the groceries, clean the house, run the errands, take care of the child & the list goes on &on & on & on!! Has she had any time out? Do you help around the house? Do you help out with cooking, house work or with the child?. Doing some of these may help your wifes anxiety. However, it would be a good idea to recommend she see her GP. However, be subtle about this, because if she is suffering from PND, she will more than likely deny it & you will be screamed at LOTS!!Talk to family or friends or leave some subtle hits around first. Good Luck

If your wife had bipolar the mood swings would last a lot longer, sometimes even weeks at a time. I suffer with cylothemia and have done for a few years, I have also had postnatel deppressionn after the birth of my daughter, and I was very much like your wife, happy one day then sad and angry the next day. Best advice is to get her down to see the doc. Good luck

It could be. Having a baby is a real shock to the system. It is physically, emotionally and mentally exhausting. You sound like you are a caring husband. Encourage your wife to see the GP or health visitor.I suffered from Post natal depression, but didn't want to admit to it. Once I got help, a big cloud lifted. Please don't suffer in silence. Speak to your own GP and any family members that may be supportive to both you and your wife.Good luck
