The only time you ever NEED to pull the foreskin back is when you are taking a shower and cleaning it. It's important to retract it before cleaning it to make sure that dirt and bacteria doesn't get trapped underneath it. Other than that, there is no need to pull the foreskin back if you don't want to. Some guys pull their foreskin back when they pee because they find it easier to avoid splashing or they don't want to get urine trapped underneath it. Other guys find it easier to just leave it forwards when they pee because the foreskin provides a funnel effect that directs the urine where they want it. Some guys masturbate with it pulled back to expose the head, others leave it forwards because theirs is too sensitive and yet others like to move it back and forth for the stimulation.
