...decongestant, pseudoephedrine hcl or sulfate? I was just wondering because I know you can get Sudafed 12h which uses PSE hcl, but there is also Claritin D 12h which uses PSE sulfate, and I'm not sure which one will be a better substitute for the zyrtec-D's I was taking for my allergies that I ran out of and don't feel like going back to the doctor's to get a new prescription for if there is pretty much equal alternative I can buy over the counter. I bascially only use the pills at night before I'm going to bed if I'm congested, otherwise I dont' use them, but still I'd to know what the best substitute would be since zyrtec-d uses hcl and my other choices have either the hcl or the sulfate. So any help would be appreciated.

They will work the same... Its the same drug in a different form. Both as long as both can abosorb in the intenstines and will actually make it to the brain there should be no difference.Obvously both sulfate and Hcl will make it to the brain or they wouldent sell it.Its like the difference between water and ice... Both H20 in differnt forms.
