...acne, pimples etc.. to soak your face in ice cold water or in hot water? As I was thinking of doing one of them. But I am not sure of which one to choose. Soaking your face in ice cold water I mean. Putting cold water in a bucket and ice and soaking your face. Or hot water where you put hot water in a bucket and your face. Do not guess randomly. Please only answer if you know. Thanks in advance

Neither. These are both old wives' tales, and neither will really help clear up your acne. Visit a dermatologist and they will give you a reliable skin care regimen to follow. Usually there are 3 basic steps: 1. Cleanse, 2. Condition, 3. Moisturize. Then you can spot treat your problem areas with a salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide based treatment. A dermatologist can recommend a product that fits your skin condition, but you could try over the counter products first. Just make sure you follow the directions carefully, and give new products at least 2 weeks to work. This is about how long it takes for your skin to regenerate itself.Good Luck!

I think either are kind of pointless... You should keep your face clean, but don't use harsh alchohol based cleaners. You should also leave your acne alone. Biggest mistake I made when I had acne was to mess with pimples and blackheads... trying to pop zits and squeeze blackheads only made them worse. I say wash with warm, but not too hot water and rinse with cold. You can also benefit from using steam to open your pores before cleaning. Also, eat healthy foods that don't contain processed sugars, additives, and other junk. That should help a bit. If you're a teenager suffering from acne, you basically just have to wait it out until your hormones stabilize. All of this is my opinion based on personal experience, so take it for what it's worth. BTW, each skin type is unique; I had really oily skin, and moisturizers were overkill for me... they may even have made my condition worse; many products from dermatologists dried out my skin and also worsened the condition. I would avoid most dermatologists prescriptions if I had it to do over again. Again, just based on personal experience.
Both. Both types of water play a role in getting rid of acne. Hot water relaxes your pores and opens them up. Then, once you have applied your acne cleanser, you use cold water to close your pores so that dirt and oil don't get in your pores.
