deductions since I have Multiple Sclerosis and use ac alot? read in a book that you can get a deduction on electric bill, and also with your taxes

If you installed the a/c on the advice of your physician, and can document that the primary purpose of the a/c is to alleviate your medical condition, the cost of installing the a/c, and the cost of operating it, are deductible as medical expenses (Schedule A, subject to a 7.5% floor of your adjusted gross income).You can try for the deduction if you have already installed the a/c or it was there when you moved into your home. Get written documentation from your doctor that a/c is medically necessary. Figure the cost of operation (not all of your electric, just the amount you can show is from the a/c). Put it in as a medical expense. You should be OK.
