weight loss ? in a day?

ok so I had a drs appt yesterday and then went back today bc I thought my water broke (it did not it was my plug but I am 3 cm dilated) anyway the point is yesterday they checked my weight and I had gained then today when they checked it they said oh wow you lost weight. I was like ok wtf how do you loose weight in a day? Are they crazy??

Happens to me all the time. I weigh myself everyday at work and my weight changes from day to day.

its probably water weight or your amniotic fluid dropped a little. by chance were you weighed on two different scales? At my doctors office every scale weighs a little differently. we actually proved this when I claimed one scale was weighing me more than it should. the nurse had me try two other scales(we had time) and each were different. also your weight can change depending on the time of day and the clothes you are wearing. this can be a difference of 2-3 pounds sometimes. don't worry about it, you'll have your baby soon enough.

LOL! You just reminded me of something I told my mom one time. She was trying a new diet and she came up to me one day all excited and said that she had lost 2 pounds!!! I looked at her and said do you know what they call it when that happens? She was intriqued and so I replied, "Taking a sh!t!"She smacked me. And then laughed pretty hard.

How many pounds did you lose? It may have been fluids, were you dehydrated? Losing water can affect your weight 3-5 pounds. Make sure you drink your water. I was dehyrated one of my vistis at the drs when they checked my urine and my doctor got on me because she said if your pregnant and dehyrated then it can enduce contractions. If they did an ultrasound and found that your water bag was not reptured then don't worry about your baby. You also may be getting ready for delivery depending on far you are. I had a appt on tuesday (39 weeks) and weighed in at 177 and by Friday when I delivered, I got to the hospital at 174 pounds. Baby is doing fine and is 7 mos old. Good luck!

The human body can change weight from day to day, just from our water retention or expulsion,weight can change 3-5lbs.no one is crazy..
