If I have a stillbirth, Do I still qualify for maternity leave? ( I live in Illinois)? I need help.I couldn't find and similar cases.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Maternity leave is generally given so the new parents can care for the child. You might be able to take bereavement leave.

You would not qualify for maternity leave past 2 weeks but then you can get a bereavement leave or a stress leave if note from a doctor.Im sorry to hear about your lose

No. But you may qualify for disability insurance benefits if you are off work over 7 days with a doctors approval and signature on the Calif. State Disability Insurance forms. Unless you had uncontrollable bleeding and infection, I don't think you could milk more than 2 weeks off and that is being generous. The doctors follow a definite designation of the appropriate time (as per state ideals) off to heal from surgery. If you had a hysterectomy, you could get 6 weeks, but for most of that time you would be suffering.That really sucks, because you may be physically ready to return to work, but the mental anguish could be debilitating. I hope you have a strong and healthy baby.

Yes you do, however you need to check with your employer and physician to find out what documentation you need.

sorry.im not sure about where ur from but here we qualify for maternity leave and all maternity payments from the government.Its well worth the looking into further.
