Any suggestion on getting rid of my acne?

I have had severe acne for 5 or more years. I have a problem with popping them. I have tried stopping so many times, and failed. I have been almost every medication possible from proactiv to dermetologist perscribed. My dermetologist wants to put me on birth control to help out, but I don't want to because I am afraid of short and long term side effects. What do you think?

side effects of birth control are not that bad. I have been on it for years but it doesn;t help my acne. I would try it, you can always stop if u don't like it.

I have ance too. I talked to my doctor and she perscribed Clindoxyl Gel. It worked well for me, but it takes a while to work and if you stop using it for a long period of time or it will come back good luck!
