I have an anxiety disorder, and I no it's normal that when your anxiety gets high you tend to lose all of your energy, but some days I could sleep all day because of my lack of energy. I heard vitamin B is good for helping with energy and I also heard it helps with stress anyone no if it's something that could help. and also are there any side effects from vitamin B? thanksalso my anxiety pushed an eating disorder on me, I lost about 20 pounds, I am still underweight and still find it difficult to eat when I am stressed. So am I best off going with the supplements?

It depends on which Vitamin B you are taking. The best for anxiety is Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine). Excessive supplementation causes sensory neuropathy, ataxia (can't walk straight), and skin lesions; discontinuation of supplements has resulted in complete recovery within 6 months.

B vitamins are ecxellent for all of the above...anxiety, improving or maintaining energy and stress. B's build up and feed the nervous system (along with other nutrients) but B's are on top...B's also help feed the adrenal glands which help with energy boosts as well as keeps them healthy during long peroids of stress. No side effects from 'food source' B vitamins...as they do not build up in the body (my preference) High sources are Spirulina and Chlorella (algaes) - can be found in health food stores in powders and tablets. Some foods high in B's include: potatoes, bananas, lentils, avacados, chilli peppers, tempeh, turkey, and tuna. Nutritional yeast also found in health food stores. Get crackin! :o)
My boyfriend also suffers from an anxiety disorder. For a while there they got very bad. He does take B vitamins and also drinks some teas to calm his nerves and anxiety. Here's the information.Vitamin B1 (Thiamin)- 50 mg 3 times daily) - helps reduce anxiety and has a calming effect on the nerves.Vitamin B-6 (Pyridoxine) - 50 mg 3 times daily with meals - A known energizer that also exerts a calming effect on the nerves. From what we know and have research B vitamins, even in megadoses, are extremely safe and do not have any side effects. The teas he drinks are Chamomille tea and Lime blossom tea. He usually takes one every night before going to bed.Good luck, hope this helps. Keep me updated to see if it did work. I know that we have had great results with it.

yea b complex is good - make sure it is organic - drink soothing teas - drop alcohol - nicotine and coffee - then there is therapy to deal with these things in addition.
