...mental health problems? I am a 27 year old male. I live in Ohio, between the Cleveland and Pittsburgh, PA areas. I have had depression and anxiety problems my entire life. I am currently on at least 6 psychiatric medications and I have taken every other drug currently available. I am suffering more now than ever. I have no friends and no family, except my parents. I live with my parents in a small town with nothing to offer(It takes 20 minutes just to drive to the nearest pharmacy.) Besides being lonely and depressed, living with my father is hard b/c he is even sicker than I am and is constantly antagonizing me. I want to leave home, but I can't drive(b/c of panic attacks) and I can't be responsible for an apartment. Every group facility that I know of won't have me b/c I'm too old, b/c I've never attempted suicide, b/c I don't have drug problems, etc. Does anyone out there know how I can get some help?

i dont know what to tell you...but my advice is find yourself someone who can help you out with your situation. try moving somewhere where public transportation is available and find a roommate....meet new people and try making some good friends. theres a world out there, dont let your depression and anxiety take over your life!

I would suggest therapy, lots of therapy. Maby even start up a type of depression/ anxiety group in your area....say ask a church or other local building to donate a room to use, it really helps talking about it ... there are way more people out there with dual diagnois than you may think...

Do you see a therapist? Is there a Mental Health Center there? Are you of SSI/Medicare? Call Social security and ask them for help. you can get an apt through the local housing office there and you can get a overseer to help you do your bills. Please check into these options.LOVE YOURSELFGOD BLESS

yea man you just got to overcome what it is that is causing your depression and anxiety. find the root of your problems, find out what it is that this depression is stemming from and overcome it. Take something up to help you along the way. I often feel down and get the blues sometimes, but i tell myself that life goes on and everything will get better, usually I play music to channel my depression out of me. You need overcome you anxiety and go out on your own, make friends find the companionship that you deserve. good luck

I found some community psychiatric hospitals and centers you can go to and talk to someone.Community Care Behavioral HealthAddress:112 Washington PlPittsburgh, PA15219-3458Phone: (412) 454-2120Family Links413 Evergreen AvePittsburgh, PA15209-2164Phone: (412) 821-9240Intercare180 Fort Couch Rd Ste 304Pittsburgh, PA15241-1041Phone: (412) 831-0355I would definitely talk to your current therapist if you do not have one you can talk to a local councilor about your concerns. If at any time you feel completely overwhelmed not necessarily suicidal but if you need to talk to someone and are in crisis call Adams/Hanover Counsel Service(717) 632-4900That is a local counseling line ad I'm pretty sure it is 24 hours.I hope this helps and if it doesn't you can get ahold of me here and I can help find other centers in your area. BTW just curious you don't have to say if you don't want to but what medications are you currently on and for how long?

Try to make some friends, at least on the computer, but is better in person; if you had a girlfriend that would help. The kind of life you are living with your parents is very lonely, you need some motivation in your life, if you can't drive; at least go out and walk, maybe you can meet someone on the way. Start a new life, and do it now. Good Luck
