My Grandma has liver cancer and it just spread to her lungs. Doctors told her there is a treatment that has a one in five chance of working, and if it doesn't work, or she doesn't take the drug, she will have one to six months to live. Is there anything anyone knows that could possibly help her. There has to be something.Yeah I know it's between her and the "doctor", but obviously when he tells her she only has so much longer to live, there isn't really any other "decision" for her to make. It's not like she chooses to die or live, I came her looking for alternative treatments. And it didn't start in the liver. It was in the colon, then the liver, then the lungs. And she's pretty and doesn't know how to utilize the power of the internet to get better information on her treatments, but instead, is forced to listen to only what her doctor says.Edit: "and shes pretty old, and doesn't........"

liver cancer can also be primary but because your grandma has metastasis (spread of cancer to other organs) then the likelihood of any treatment working is very low. the liver is a very vascular organ which means there is a lot of blood flow from and to other organs therefore the spread of the cancer is easier and quicker. the fact that she is older also works against her ability to fight the cancer. I know you don't want to lose her but she may be suffering from pain, weakness, loss of appetite and other symptoms. We all want to be selfish when it comes to our family but there comes a time when we need to let the person who is sick make the choices concerning more treatments. They are the ones who suffer. If she is not with a hospice please talk to your family about it. They offer spiritual, emotional and physical care to not only your grandma but also your entire family. They can help you understand more about what is going on so you can be of great support to your sick grandma. I'm sorry your going through this I hope you receive many blessings and have great memories of her.
