for an aching back, a massage chair probably isn't the answer. You would probably need to get him a heating pad, heated rocks or something like that instead.But, if you are still interested in a massage chair, the cheapest way to go is to get a vibration cover (not sure if thats what its called). But its just a big pad with vibration mechanisms on the inside of it that you can put on ANY chair and plug in and sit on it and it will massage your back (and your butt if you wish lol)They would sell something like that at Bed, Bath, and Beyond (as well as many varieties of massaging chairs), Target, or Wal-Mart.
