brought on by cats and dogs...couldnt breathe...was staying with a friend....had to go out in the cold air

In junior high, my best friend in band class collasped after a score. He was hyperventilating real bad and everybody was staring. I was one of the few people that knew what was going on. Oddly enough know one laughed!

ugh.. asthma attacks are scary. Mine was when I could barely breathe. I stayed up all night long because I can't get ebough air...

I couldn't make it 'down' one flight of stairs without sitting down. Thought I was gonna die, went to 'E' room for breathing therapy.- Not a good experience!

I have had chronic asthma since I was 5 and it has been terrifying at times! My worst asthma attack was probably when I was in Middle School. I slept on a bunk bed and my breathing treatment was on a desk next to the lower bunk bed. I woke up in the middle of the night and start my treatment but couldn't catch my breath. Before I knew it, my Dad was giving me CPR, and an Ambulance was there! I guess I passed out and fell forward off the bunk bed, hit my head on the desk and peed my pants( which is normal in a bad asthma attack). I had a minor concussion and went to the ER. I had a big knot the size of a golf ball on my chin!!! That was so frightening. My worst was a little over 5 years ago. It hurt to breath, I had all sort of stuff in my chest and I was wheezing like crazy. I was very weak and tired. I called my doctor and he told me to come in. Once I got there, my lips were turning blue and my feet up to mid calf was all purple and cold. My doctor called 911 and I ended up in the hospital. After breathing treatments and some steriods I was finally able to go home. I slept off and on for 2 days after that.

on outdoor ed in 4th grade. in a cabin with a lot of girls and two moms. could barely breathe, didn't know why, had to borrow my friend's inhaler. or at my friend's sleepover on her top bunk. ugh!
