...temporary. I have a big phys ed exam tomorrow..? I was sick a few days ago so I got a shot (Nospa) in the buttock ( I have no idea how it is scientifically called - not a native speaker). And the first day I had local minor pain, then after a training for the phys ed exam yesterday I woke up this morning with rather of a swelling and muscle pain. What to do? I have to tame the pain for tomorrow when I have to take the exam. It's a big one. Does anybody have any sollutions?Answerit, I have no way of getting Epsom salt. Perhaps if I take a magnesium pill. Might that help? Thanks for the answers.I'm currently following your advices and applying ice.. Hope it does the trick. Right now I'm just numb.. feels good though. Less painful :p

Sounds like a reaction to the injection. Best cure: Ice for 15minutes/ rest 15min / Ice again 15min repeat for 3-4 hours then move to heat. Hot pack 15min / off for 15min / heat on again for 15min. Do that for 2-3 hours then go back to the ice. In 8-12 hours you should be good as new. Good luck

Alternate hot and cold. Take some Ibprofen to reduce the swelling and it will help with pain. I would probably stretch and work those muscles lightly. You want to make sure you do not work them to much but you want to keep them moving to help reduce any pain that may occour if you do nothing. Good Luck
