I dont usually get period pain but i know how bad it feels when you do. You can just take a nap and when you get up you should feel alright. Also dont do much exercise.

One thing that always worked for me was to take one or two motrin per day a week BEFORE your period. A midwife I had once told me that and it really worked for me. Also, even though this doesn't sound ideal, walking seems to loosen and stretch things out down there. I never liked it but it really does work if you can get up the gumption to do it. I hope this helps and good luck.

It's not good if your pain-killers are not working. You may have Dysmenorrhea, however make sure you take tablets after you have eaten, use an anti-inflammatory like Nurofen which will ease the muscular cramping. There are also natural remedies like wheat packs which you heat and apply to the body, but if it is so bad that analgesics are not working I would see your doctor.

Put a hot water bottle (bottle filled with hot water) over your stomach. Heating pad. Running. Taking a nap. Taking a hot bath. Just don't ball up or else that will make it worse. Try to be as stretched out as you can.
