Occassionally I get really sudden spots of I guess I wouldn't necessarily call them pain but it feels kind of unpleasant in my chest area, usually around my heart area...they always go away after a few minutes and I was just wondering if something like this is normal...I have no other side effects at all unless my anxiety kicks in from time to time if I really start to worry about it. But I'm also thinking that when I get a pain spot on the other side of my chest or even anywhere else on my body it doesnt worry me at all. So Im just wondering if it is at all possible to have a pain in your chest area and it be nothing at all.

Chest pain can occur from anxiety, and also sometimes due to over amount of work. If you are a serious or hard worker you should sometimes get these type of occasional pains.

And no need of any panicking, but acidity is also sometimes known to cause pain as the diaphragm gets raised to a bit higher level causing pain.

you are absolutely justified in your way of thinking.
Prevention is always better than cure.
In today's hectic life, we tend to suffer from anxiety and stress which can manifest as chest pain.
Though there are lot of casues for chest pain, it wouldn't be unwise to have an ECG taken right after the next episode of chest pain.

I had some breathing difficulty while on holiday recently, which in turn led to chest pain. Upon my return I consulted a doctor who informed me my lungs were in perfect condition and blamed the pain and breathlessness on anxiety. This is certainly something which could be occuring here. A visit to your physician would probably reassure you.
