A few weeks ago i went to the ER and was diagnosised with bronchitis and givin some antibiotics....however that night i began vomiting and had a fever for a bout 3 days and i also had a rash...so i quit taking my antibiotics...now im spitting up blood ....can my bronchitis turn into something worse if i dont continue my antibiotics or will it go away on its own?
You darn right it can be worse! Get to a doctor or ER right away. It could be pneumonia, and that can kill you!

Are you coughing up blood or is it coming from somewhere else like your stomach. If you are coughing up blood, you should be seen by a doctor. Unless you are coughing real hard and there is just a little speck of blood. Coughing blood could mean pneumonia, TB or several other conditions most of which need treatment. Bronchitis usually goes away without antibiotics but at this point (over 2 weeks), you should see your doctor.

Yes, it can turn into something worse. Maybe the antibiotic is not working, or something else may have developed in the meantime. I don't mean to scare you, but you need to get to the ER as soon as possible. I left my bronchitis/pneumonia go, hoping it would disappear on its own and now my lungs are damaged and I am terminal. Of course there were other factors, but it might have been prevented if I had gone back to the doctor earlier and not just hoped for the best with the antibiotics he gave me the first time. When you stop taking antibiotics ahead of time, all you accomplish is that you make the infection harder to combat the next time as it becomes resistant to the antibiotic you used. Also, maybe you were allergic- that's why you had the rash, but you should have let your doc know then so he could switch it to something else. You really need to go get this checked out.
