If your kids have it, make sure your school is aware of it, and if they are in any sports teams, make sure the coach is too.
Make sure to take the medication, and not do things which you know are hazardous to your health. For example, if you know that running those 2 miles will cause some conflicts don't do it! You will often feel pressured by your friends to go along and you may feel ashamed to say no, because of your condition, but it's better to be safe, than sorry.
When you faint you'll just make it harder for yourself, and draw more unwanted attention. And hopefully your friends will be mature enough to understand.
