It's the technical name for pink eye. You usually are aware you have it since you feel an itch or annoyance in your eye. I actually had this a few weeks ago.

And of course, if you take a look in the mirror you'll probably be able to tell that you have it! Also, usually it only occurs in one eye, but it can sometimes affect both of them.

To cure it, simply rest your eyes, and use eye drops, and within a day or so you should be fine.

well, i have never found pink eyes ever in my eyes. how do they look like and how do we get that..? please explain.

Conjunctivitis symptoms include red, sore eyes, perhaps with a discharge and sticking of the eyelid. There isn't usually any loss of visual accuity (you don't normally see any worse). The most common form, infective conjunctivitis, can be of either bacterial or viral origin and usually begins in one eye before spreading to the other. It is treated by antibiotic eyedrops like chloramphenical, 2 drops, qds for 5/7.
